Based on historic true events occurred in West Africa during the 17th -18th century, in the kingdom of Dahomey where a fearless all-women army trained and fought off neighboring force to protect their kingdom’s existence.
This project teaches the process of bezeling an oversized Navette stone and attaches a unique spike crystal to create a masculinity outlook, then playfully incorporate a dagger and chain in honor of the brave Agojie women.
Students should be familiar with fundamental bead weaving techniques, such as Right-angle-weave, Peyote stitches including even and odd counts.
